Wind Farm Turbine Bases, Co. Tipperary (2013)
Two turbines at a wind farm in Co. Tipperary were to be constructed on a relatively steep hillside, with a level platform required to allow their construction and maintenance.
Geoman Ltd. provided a reinforced earth design for the two turbine platforms and utilised site won fill in the design.
This offered the client significant savings in comparison to importing large volumes of granular fill from local quarries.
