Land Fill Site, Aberdeen (2011)
Geoman Ltd. completed the check of a design for soil cover slopes on a large landfill site in Aberdeen.
The slopes had previously failed, and a design therefore had to be found to remediate the failed zone and complete the remainder of the cover slopes.
Geoman Ltd. was subsequently appointed to become the designer of the reinforced cover slopes for three additional phases of work on the scheme. The designs were completed in accordance with the Koerner method for veneer cover soil analysis and design.
